It is easy to pick up, and there is enough here to finish a real game. Everyone starts the same way: an empty screen and a blank line.
Your first program is one line: PRINT "HI", and it shows up on screen. Short enough for a ten-year-old to follow, but it is still real code underneath.
If you miss the 80s and 90s demoscene, the pieces are all here: raster bars, chiptunes, pixel sprites, even a raycaster. The tools sit inside the editor.
A whole class can work in the same browser tab. There is nothing to install and not much to break. Share a link and everyone runs the same thing.
You do not need separate apps for graphics, sound, levels or debugging. They are all part of the editor.

basicFusion has its own dialect of BASIC. It reads more or less like plain English, which is half the point.
Nothing to download, nothing to configure. Open the page and you are already in the editor. Loops, graphics, sound and input are one keyword each, so most of your time goes into the game instead of the tooling.
When it is ready, you can export the same project to the web, Windows, Linux or Android.
